💫Research Topic💫:Not using punctuation marks while English writing.

          ☀️Introduction☀️:

       Punctuation is the use of spacing conversational signs and certain typographical devices which are helpful for understanding and correcting reading of written text. In other words it is the practice of inserting point or other small marks into text in order to help interpretation division  of text into sentences, clauses etc. It is very important for the meaning of sentences without the usage of punctuations.

             So by understanding the importance of punctuation this topic as research because my students are weak in punctuation usage. To know numerous reason behind their hindrance and to find remedy I select this topic for exploratory research.

     To collect data I prepared few questions for myself, students, parents and fellow teachers.

1.Why do my students  not able to use punctuation marks?

2.What are the strategies can be implemented to solve this problem?

3.How to overcome this problem?

1.Why don't you use proper punctuation marks?

2.What all punctuation marks do you know?

3.What all hurdles do you face by using the punctuation marks?

⭐Questions for parents⭐:

1.Do your child practice writing English with proper punctuation at home?

2.If know what are the reason behind their problem?

☀️Questions for fellow teachers☀️:

1.Do your children struggle to write by using punctuation?

2.What are the strategies do you follow about this problem?

6.What  all remedies to be taken to solve the problem of punctuation among  children?

  For my exploratory research I collected data from my students ask them to write a paragraph that  include various  punctuations.

☀️PARENTS OPINION ☀️

For my research I collected information from the parents while their visit to school and many of them express their views that  lack of interest, lack of practice,lack of exposure in english language writing is making the children in capable to use punctuations.

☀️OPINION OF FELLOW TEACHER ☀️

To collect data from my fellow teacher  I created Google form that help me in analysing thier problems, strategies to enable the children to use punctuations.

⭐REFLECTION⭐

Through this research I came to know overcome this problem through various strategies like:

☀️Lot of exposure in English language writing.

☀️Providing opportunities by various activities that includes punctuation marks

☀️ Providing model writing material,simple stories,that includes proper punctuation.

☀️ Assisting and correcting the children to include correct punctuations while they are writing.

☀️Giving text with dialogue that contains proper punctuation.

💫CONCLUSION 💫

This was my first classroom research.This will help me to sort out other classroom problem too.I want to express my gratitude towards Dr.Ravinarayan and my friend for assisting me and expressing their opinions and sharing some strategies.
